I remember when I was young we went on a family vacation. My dad had one of those large shoulder mounted camcorders. He let me try it and at that point I was hooked. I received my own camcorder for my 16th birthday and I started making my own movies. They were silly, but they all served to fuel my creativity. It was around the same time I also received my first camera and entered the world of photography, which I grew to love just as much as filmmaking.

Within every film and behind every photograph there is a story to be told. When I stand with a camera in my hands I am not content with merely documenting what I see. I want to know the story of how these things came to be, and I want to tell that story through my lens.
